Who we are
Nestled amidst the rugged beauty of the Angeles Forest Mountains in Green Valley, California, Green Valley Bible Chapel has been a beacon of faith for over 70 years. This small, close-knit community, located between Santa Clarita and the Lancaster / Palmdale cities, has found a spiritual home.
Over the decades, the Chapel has remained steadfast in its commitment to serving Green Valley. It has provided a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth for generations of families. Though a modest structure, the Chapel's impact extends far beyond its size, nurturing a strong sense of belonging and shared faith within this tranquil mountain community.
As the Chapel embarks on the construction of a new building, it carries with it a rich legacy of faith and dedication. This new chapter promises to further strengthen its presence and continue its mission of serving Green Valley for many years to come.
About Our Pastor
Pastor Jerry McCullah is married to his high school sweetheart, Ruthi. They have 5 adult children and 12 grandchildren. Pastor Jerry surrendered to God’s call into pastoral ministry in January of 1981. He was licensed in March that year by First Southern Baptist Church of Hemet, California. In 1983, Jerry was ordained by North Heights Baptist Church in Bakersfield, California.
Pastor Jerry attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1981, and graduated in 1986 from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California.
Pastor Jerry has pastored 4 churches totaling 43 years of service. He began serving at Green Valley Bible Chapel here in Green Valley, California in June 2005.
Pastor performed mission work internationally in Russia, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and multiple mission trips into Mexico. He also has been involved in various prayer ministries since 1993.
Acting as California Southern Baptist Convention Prayer Consultant, Jerry McCullah assists churches and associations in the training and development of personal and church-wide prayer ministries. As Impact Prayer International’s founder and director, Pastor Jerry has worked across denominational and international borders to do the same.
Jerry: “In addition to pastoring, God has called me to encourage Christians into a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ; one that is real and personal, which comes through a life of prayer. The world needs praying people! God seeks praying people! My passion is to excite Christians to the possibility’s prayer opens before them. With God all things are possible!
